KiroPred 20mg (20 Tab) - Kiron

KiroPred 20 contains Prednisolone, an active metabolite of Prednisone. It is a medium-acting glucocorticoid with predominantly glucocorticoid effects and minimal mineralocorticoid activity. Glucocorticoids are natural or synthetic adrenal steroids that are rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.

They are used as replacement therapy in cases of adrenal insufficiency. Synthetic analogs like Prednisolone are mainly used for their powerful anti-inflammatory effects. In dogs and cats, KiroPred 20 is effective for managing a wide range of endocrine, musculoskeletal, inflammatory, and autoimmune conditions, including dermatological disorders, otitis, eye conditions, respiratory issues, hematological problems, neoplasms, allergies, arthritis, ulcerative colitis, eosinophilic enteritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and other diseases known to respond to corticosteroid treatment.

Dosage:
* Anti-inflammatory: 0.5–1 mg/kg every 12 hours (equivalent to one tablet per 20–40 kg body weight)
* Immunosuppressive: 2 mg/kg every 12 hours (equivalent to one tablet per 10 kg body weight)

كيروبرِيد 20 يحتوي على بريدنيزولون، وهو أحد انزاع الكورتيزون يُستخدم لفعالبيته العالية في تقليل الالتهابات.

يُستخدم لعلاج العديد من الحالات في الكلاب والقطط مثل الحساسية والتهاب المفاصل وأمراض المناعة الذاتية. يتم إمتصاص البريدنيزلون بسرعة ويستخدم أيضا كعلاج بديل في حالات قصور الغدة الكظرية.

الجرعة:
* مضاد للالتهابات: 0.5–1 ملغ/كجم كل 12 ساعة (ما يعادل قرصًا واحدًا لكل 20–40 كجم من وزن الجسم)

* مثبط للمناعة: 2 ملغ/كجم كل 12 ساعة (ما يعادل قرصًا واحدًا لكل 10 كجم من وزن الجسم)
